3pe anti-corrosion steel pipe

3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe refers to the steel pipe protected by three-layer structural polyethylene (3PE) anti-corrosion coating on the outer wall. The base material covers seamless steel pipe, spiral steel pipe and straight seam steel pipe.

3pe anti-corrosion steel pipe is designed for harsh environments, its outer wall anti-corrosion structure consists of three layers of materials, providing comprehensive protection to ensure the reliability and durability of the pipe in a variety of environments.

I. Bottom layer: epoxy powder

a. The bottom layer of 3pe anticorrosive steel pipe adopts epoxy powder, which is tightly attached to the surface of the steel pipe through electrostatic spraying process, with a thickness of 0.1-0.3mm.
b. Epoxy powder has strong adhesion and chemical corrosion resistance, can effectively isolate the external corrosive medium, to provide basic protection for the pipeline.

II. Intermediate layer: adhesive layer

a. The thickness of the intermediate layer is 0.1-0.2 mm, which is the bridge connecting the bottom layer of epoxy powder and the outer layer of polyethylene.
b. It ensures the integrity and stability of the three-layer structure and significantly improves the protective effect of 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe.

III. Outer layer: polyethylene protective layer

The outer layer is polyethylene, with a thickness of 1.8-3.7 mm, which has excellent mechanical properties and anti-aging ability, and can resist external factors such as ultraviolet rays, abrasion and impact to extend the service life of the pipe.

3pe anticorrosion steel pipe detailed parameter description:
1. Coating structure

The coating structure of 3pe anticorrosion steel pipe consists of three layers of materials to ensure its excellent anti-corrosion performance:
(1) Epoxy powder (FBE): the bottom layer, the thickness is more than 100μm, with good adhesion and corrosion resistance.
(2) Adhesive (AD): intermediate layer, with a thickness of 170-250 μm, connecting the epoxy powder and the polyethylene.
(3) Polyethylene (PE): outer layer, thickness 1.8-3.7mm, with abrasion and impact resistance.

2. Coating thickness

The coating thickness of 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe meets several standards:
(1) According to the national standard GB/T 23257-2017, the total thickness should be ≥0.3mm, and the enhanced grade is 2.5-3.7mm.
(2) International standards such as ISO 21809 and API 5L also require the total thickness ≥ 0.3mm.

3. Adhesion

3PE anticorrosion coated steel pipe has strong adhesion between the coating and the surface of the steel pipe, peeling strength ≥ 30N/cm.

4. Impact resistance

The impact strength of 3pe anticorrosion coated steel pipe is required to be ≥10J, which ensures that the coating is not easily damaged during construction and use.

5. Corrosion resistance

The coating of 3pe corrosion resistant steel pipe has excellent chemical resistance and soil corrosion resistance, which is suitable for conveying oil, natural gas, sewage and other media.

6. Other requirements

The surface treatment of the steel pipe needs to reach Sa2.5 grade to ensure the adhesion of the coating.
The surface of the coating should be flat and smooth, without bubbles, cracks and other defects.
